July 4th Rally

l

Anti-Imperialist Rally

Our friends at Quac (Queer Anarchy Collective) are hosting a Rally on July 4th at 6pm in the Bernie Milton Pavillion to protest America’s ongoing international war crimes. We at Ithaca CJP will attend in solidarity and invite all those who support Palestine to come join us.

People’s Town Hall (Josh Riley)

The People's Town Hall

On Saturday, at 2:30 pm, Ithaca Committee for Justice in Palestine hosted a community-led town hall with a focus on U.S. Rep. Josh Riley.
We provided a platform for various groups and individual community members to collectively evaluate Rep. Riley.
We presented objective information on Riley’s voting record, professional background, and conduct while in office.
We invited and encouraged the active participation of community, political, and union groups; requested they revoke their endorsements (if applicable); and publicly call on him, within their group capacities, to uphold the progressive values he claimed while running for office.
We extended an invitation to Josh Riley to attend. However, we didn’t anticipate his presence, as he has dodged multiple community meetings and events, including his own, by cancelling at the last minute on Dec. 13, 2025 in Green.
We did not change the program format when he didn’t attend, except to provide him with an opportunity to respond to each component.
As of this post, we still haven’t received a response from Rep. Riley.

Olive Festival

Olive Festival

The Culture and Education Working Group of Ithaca CJP presents the Olive Festival: From Ithaca to Palestine. On Sunday October 5th, at 2pm in the Southside Community Center we will get together to celebrate Palestinian culture. We will have a bake sale sharing various Palestinian and Middle Eastern food, and more, a raffle providing a chance to win various Palestinian and olive-themed items such as keffiyehs, Palestinian olive oil, books, soaps and more. We invite the community to spend the afternoon learning about the importance of olive trees to Palestinian life, enjoy some delicious food and win some wonderful Palestinian items. Entrance is free and donations are welcome.
